Frames

This is not an original design. It was created from a maple leaf pattern "frames". The pattern is actually for a small wallhanging and so I increased all measurements by 1/2. Getting a decent sized throw. I plan on quilting it with cotton backing.

I Spy

This is my version of the "I SPY" quilt. Which is full of novelty prints for children to hunt for various items, animals, etc. Some refer to them as story book quilts where you can look at the quilt together and create your own story but jumping from block to block.

The child this was made for is especially fascinated by the "monster" block.

Original design constructed primarily of Rowen Fabric linke (Kaffe fat quarters). I plan to back with flannel and quilt it.

In playing around with some blues I came up with the sun like block, this is not paperpieced, just freehand. I added in the little red strips and additional blue strip thanks to being just short of the amount needed of the navy. Creative and frugal! But a nice addition.

This is not quilted, just backed with flannel.

Navy with white polka dots, white with navy polka dots and yellow, navy and white stripe. Backed with yellow flannel, quilted and binding out of the stripe fabric.

Receiving Blankets

Cowboy! Cowboy print is flannel and the saddle stripe is a textured cotton.
Puppies!! The puppie print is 100% cotton with a flannel backing of golden brown with a lighter brwon circular print.

Each of these are made from 1.25 yard cut of fabric and backed with flannel. No batting, no quilting.
